Prayer Times
Prayer times change throughout the year based on the sun's position. You can find today's accurate prayer times on our homepage or by calling the masjid. We follow the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) calculation method.
Jumu'ah prayer is held every Friday at 1:30 PM. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early to find parking and settle in before the khutbah begins.
Yes! During Ramadan, we hold Taraweeh prayers every night after Isha. We complete the entire Quran during the month. Please check our announcements for the exact schedule.
Yes, we have a dedicated prayer area for sisters with its own entrance and facilities. Sisters are always welcome to pray in the main hall as well.
Visiting the Masjid
Suffolk Islamic Center is located in Ronkonkoma, NY. You can find our exact address and directions on the Contact page, or use the Google Maps integration for navigation.
Yes, we have a parking lot available for visitors. During Jumu'ah and special events, parking can fill up quickly, so we recommend carpooling or arriving early.
The masjid is open daily from Fajr (dawn) to after Isha (night) prayer. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
Absolutely! We welcome visitors of all faiths who want to learn about Islam. Please contact us to arrange a tour, or feel free to visit during non-prayer hours. We ask that visitors dress modestly.
Donations & Zakat
You can donate online through our secure donation page, or in person during prayer times. We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. You can also set up recurring monthly donations.
Yes! Suffolk Islamic Center is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You'll receive a receipt for your records.
You can pay Zakat through our donation page by selecting 'Zakat' as the purpose. We ensure that 100% of Zakat funds go to eligible recipients as per Islamic guidelines.
Your donations support masjid operations, educational programs, community events, charitable assistance for families in need, and facility improvements.
Programs & Education
Yes! We offer Quran classes for all ages and levels, from beginners learning to read Arabic to advanced tajweed and memorization. Check our Programs page for the current schedule.
We run weekend Islamic school classes for children ages 5-15. Students learn Quran reading, Islamic studies, and Arabic basics. Registration opens at the beginning of each school year.
Yes! We have a welcoming program for new Muslims that includes one-on-one mentoring, learn-to-pray sessions, and integration support. Please contact us to get connected.
Our youth program includes activities, sports, community service projects, and educational seminars designed for teenagers. We aim to keep our youth connected to their faith and community.
Community Services
Yes, our Imam can officiate Nikah ceremonies. Please contact us at least 4 weeks in advance to schedule a pre-marital counseling session and set a date. We require proper documentation.
We provide complete Janazah services including ghusl (washing), kafan (shrouding), prayer, and burial coordination. Please contact us immediately when a loved one passes.
Community members can book the masjid for events such as aqiqahs, walimas, and community gatherings. Please contact the office at least 2 weeks in advance to check availability and requirements.
The Imam offers Islamic counseling for individuals, couples, and families. Sessions are confidential. Please contact the office to schedule an appointment.
General Questions
We're always looking for dedicated volunteers! Opportunities include teaching, event coordination, maintenance, and community outreach. Please fill out our contact form expressing your interest.

You can reach the Imam through the masjid office during office hours, or by email at imam@suffolkislamiccenter.org. For urgent religious matters, please call the masjid directly.
Please remove your shoes before entering the prayer halls. We have shoe racks available at each entrance. You may wear socks or keep your feet bare during prayer.
